WifiScanner is an analyser/detector of 802.11b stations and acces points. It can listen alternatively on all the 14 channels, and write packets information in real time.

Can search access points and associated client stations, and generate a graphic of the architecture using GraphViz (http://www.graphviz.org/).

All network traffic can be saved in the libpcap format for post analysis.

Works under Linux with a Prism2/2.5/3 or CISCO Aironet card and with linux-wlan driver (http://www.linux-wlan.org/), HostAP (http://hostap.epitest.fi/), patched Hermes/Orinoco driver, prism54G, Centrino, Atheros Chipset (bg only) or CISCO Aironet.

A intrusion detection module is in devellopement and wil write an alert when somebody try to spoof a MAC addresse. It will especially adapted to detect unlegetimated access point and "man in the middle" attack.

WifiScanner is written by Jérôme Poggi.
