Hervé Schauer (Harvey Schauer) is a world-renowned expert on information systems security.
After computer studies at the Paris 6 University (Jussieu University), he
quickly becomes a pioneer of computer security in France, with, among others,
the publication of series of articles on Unix security and intrusion detection
Hervé Schauer has published or contributed to many books and articles
, notably on Internet security, network
partitioning, which he invented, authentication, wireless technologies
security, ISO 27001 and ISO 27005 standards, etc.
Hervé Schauer served as consultant to 200 french and worldwide companies,
telcos, national governments and international agencies.
Hervé Schauer also has responsibilities in several associations; he has
notably been chairing the Unix and Network Security group of the OSSIR
since 1989, co-founded OSSIR
and the french chapters of
ISSA, and launched the Club 27001 (French ISMS Users Group).
Hervé Schauer is certified CISSP by ISC2 (2004), ITIL Foundations (2007) and Information Security Foundation (2010) by EXIN, ProCSSI by INSECA (2004), ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (2005), ISO 27001 Lead Implementer (2006), ISO 27005 Risk Manager (2008) and ISO 22301 Lead Auditor by LSTI, and QSA by PCI-Council (2011), certified GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership Certification) by GIAC (2012) and is registered ISMS provisional auditor by RABQSA (2007).
