5.1 How does the filesystem ciphering work ?
losetup
associates a
loopback
to a partition.
If a ciphering algorithm was chosen then you are prompted for a password.
The mounting operation is done by associating a
loopback
to the desired partition.
All the data sent to the
loopback
is ciphered and then written on the partition.
All the data read from the
loopback
is deciphered and stored in memory.
